Are you trying to get your puppy to stop biting? Maybe you have a dog who just won’t stop barking. Or perhaps you adopted a new furry friend and you’re trying to figure out how to train a dog from the very beginning! You may be questioning whether or not to get a dog training, take classes or try to do it all yourself.

I’m going to give you my honest opinion in this Brain Training For Dogs review, the dog training course developed by Adrienne Farricelli. I’ll tell you all about the program, how it works, whether or not its effective and what you get for the price. Let’s get into it!

If you’re going to look at a training program for your pooch, you should first look at who created it to make sure they are legit. And I have to say, Adrienne Farricelli is pretty legit!

Adrienne Farricelli is a CPDT-KA dual certified dog trainer who has had her work featured in USA Today and Every Dog magazine. Adrienne believes in a force-free training approach, using scientifically based training methods focused on rewarding through positive reinforcement. She has helped thousands of struggling dog owners all over the world and runs a successful cage-less board and train company. In addition, she has provided training for service dogs for military veterans.

With over a decade of experience, Adrienne has developed a training course called Brain Training For Dogs to help dog owners deal with problem behavior from their furry friends!

Brain Training For Dogs is an online dog training program that uses a series of fun games to help develop your dog’s intelligence. What does that mean? Basically, you’re training your dog through force-free activities designed to engage their mind.

The course is laid out in a specific sequence that allows you to build on each game/skill. There are five modules overall that help you progress your dog’s skill and Adrienne provides you with tips and tricks in each module.

Check out some of the things you can train your dog to do using this program:

Brain Training For Dogs is marketed towards any and all dog owners. As Adrienne says, all dogs will behave better when they are mentally stimulated and, regardless of your dog’s current training level, you can find things in the course that will work for you.

Below is a list of just a few of the things Adrienne covers in Brain Training For Dogs:

When you see what’s included in this program, it’s easy to understand that any dog at any age could benefit from the lessons Adrienne teaches. Whether it’s obedience training, eliminating troublesome behavior or being able to teach your dog some pretty crazy tricks, the content is extensive.

I’ve looked at a lot of training courses for dogs and the majority of them are pretty basic. They deal with the basic commands (sit, down, stay) and few of them have actually helped with solving my dog’s problem behavior. In my experience, this goes back to the person who created the course – do they actually have the experience and knowledge?

In Brain Training for Dogs, Adrienne takes a scientific approach to working with each dog. She talks about the concept of neuroplasticity and how our brain (and our dog’s brain) is capable of molding and changing to learn new habits and behaviors. This is the basis of her entire program. The foundation of her program relies on mentally stimulated your pooch so he or she has the capacity to take commands easier and know what you’re asking for!

In the Brain Training for Dogs online course, the content is separated into 7 modules, each of them getting progressively more challenging for your pup. Let’s take a look at what you learn in each module.

In this module, Adrienne takes you through the foundation of teaching your dog to become super obedient. She teaches you how to get and keep their attention, have them focus on you and maintain eye contact and how to target train (“targeting” to get your dog to open doors, ring bells or turn off lights).

This module is a must complete to get the basics down. You don’t want to skip this one or you may have issues getting the results you want in the other modules.

Once you complete module 1 and your dog has the basic foundational skills, you’re ready to move onto Module 2. In this module, Adrienne helps you understand how to improve your dog’s skills and use his senses to complete your commands. She uses things like the treasure hunt game and the muffin game to keep your dog mentally stimulated and out of trouble. She also encourages you to use things like the ball pit game to give your dog lots of exercise and make them calmer when you want to work with them.

One of the nice things about this module is Adrienne provides some alternatives if you don’t have some of the items on hand that you’ll need for the games (although I don’t know if it would be as fun for your dog!)

Ah high school, you either loved it or hated it! In this module, I have a suspicion your pup will love it. Adrienne covers patience and impulse control in Module 3 helping you train your dog to settle quickly after getting hyped up with activity. She shows you a bobbing for treats game to teach you how to get your dog comfortable in water. I found this game in particular worked really well (my dog’s a bit of a wimp when it comes to jumping in the water!)

A lot of the games in this module really work with your dog’s scent receptors and engages your dog’s mind and body. The exercises in the module were definitely ones that my dog loved – it seemed like she had a purpose!

Now your pooch is getting to the big leagues! In the College module, your dog develops their motor skills and ability to concentrate on your commands. You play games like the shell game (to develop mental agility), the open sesame game (to develop patience and calmness), and the magic carpet game (to develop patience and dexterity).

A lot of these games continue with more scent work and really do encourage your dog to be patience and calm, regardless of what is happening around them. I particularly liked the Open Sesame game because my lab used to FREAK out when someone opened the door. Now, she stays calm (although still wags her tail wildly) regardless of who walks in the door!

In this module, your dog is going to take their patience and intelligence to the next level. The primary focus in this module is impulse control. One of my favorite games was the look at that game to help dogs stop barking at other dogs or people from the window. Another one (that I wish I would have known with my previous pooch) is the hide and seek game where you can work with your dog to get comfortable with being alone.

This is where things get fancy! Your dog is going to be the talk of the town after learning advanced leg-walking skills (yes, that’s right – your dog will go in between your legs while you’re walking!) and the name recognition game where your dog will learn to pick up toys by their name! Think of the possibilities with this one – finally, your dog can clean up their own toys! This module really focuses on those advanced level motor skills and intelligence. Not to mention, you’ll have some cool party tricks you can show your friends!

This is the genius status we all want our dogs to have! In module 7, your dog is going to learn the best of the best game. You’ll be able to teach your dog the ring stackers game to develop skill and patience. You’ll also be able to teach your dog to play the piano! The piano!!!

While the last two modules of this program are not necessary for having a well-behaved dog, they do provide your dog with ways to stay mentally stimulated and to have a purpose. Dogs with a purpose are happier, healthier and more obedient!

Adrienne doesn’t stop there with providing you with content. There’s even more once you get into the member’s area. When you buy the program, you also get:

You can teach your dog how to take a bow, cover his eyes, dance, shake hands, howl, play dead, and roll over.

Remember when I said this course is for any dog at any level? If you’re starting from scratch, this bonus is for you. This bonus covers topics like using a food lure to train your dog, how to get your dog to listen to basic obedience commands, and how to get your dog to ‘drop it’. This was a big winner for me – you never know what your dog might pick up in its mouth and how dangerous it could be!

In this bonus, you learn about hand signals, verbal cues and how to fade out food lures and continuous rewards without losing your dog’s obedience!

In the content archive, you get over 100 articles covering almost every behavior problem you can think of, an entire section dedicated to puppy training (house training, crate training, bite inhibition, etc) and case studies!

Okay, now we’re getting to my favorite part – the price. This is that moment where you ask “how much is this gonna put me out?”. Right? Well, hold on to your seats ladies and gents because you may be surprised at the answer.

When I first started reading through all the content included in Brain Training for Dogs, I was pretty sure it was going to run me at least a few hundred dollars, if not more. I mean, think about it – if you go to a professional dog trainer, you’re going to pay between $75-$300 PER HOUR! So I just anticipated this program would be more on the expensive side.

Boy, was I wrong! You get everything included for the price of $47!! Literally a one-time payment of $47 for lifetime access! And, when you sign up, you get yet another bonus – a free guidebook that helps with the most common dog behavior issues.

And, if that wasn’t enough, she also has a 60-day money back guarantee so you can actually try it risk free.

Adrienne had me convinced at $47. The value you get for that price is crazy good! I have read so many books on dog training and looked at so many other courses and none of them were as valuable as what Brain Training For Dogs provides.

If you haven’t already taken the next step to take advantage of this program, do it now! I would highly recommend this course to anyone who has a dog with problem behaviors or just wants to provide their dog with extra stimulation and purpose. There’s a huge wealth of knowledge included, which makes this a no-brainer!

Who is Adrienne Farricelli?
